The Psychology Foundation of Canada (PFC) launches new website “everymindmatters.org”
July 2011 - Toronto
Did you know that at least 1 in 5 Canadians will experience a form of mental illness at some point in their lives? Every one of us has a family member, friend or colleague who will be affected.
The Psychology Foundation of Canada (PFC) is a national registered charity that is making a difference to millions of Canadian families through the development and distribution of award winning preventative programs to create and maintain healthy minds. Our approach is unique as we identify emerging social problems and needs through research and then develop and distribute proactive programs for communities across Canada.
“PFC is launching the new site “everymindmatters.org” for two primary reasons. First, it’s our way of staying connected with the community and sharing our resources and award winning programs such as Kids Have Stress Too!®, Parenting for Life, Staying on top of your game® and Diversity in Action . Second, it’s to raise more funds so the PFC can continue its important work” said Cathy Backman, Trustee with the PFC.
“I encourage everyone to check out “everymindmatters.org” to learn more about our programs and more importantly to donate so that we can continue our important work.” added Backman. “Every new donor means we will be able to reach out to more people in need, to help them discover practical ways to cope with the unexpected but inevitably bumps in life.”
